Until now, the UAE has been one of the key places for Russian importers to make payments for equipment imported from China, but recently the risks of secondary sanctions have complicated the operation of this commodity and money chain.
Since the beginning of August, banks in the UAE, particularly Dubai, have started to reject payments for electronics from Russian companies. About 10-20% of all laptops go through the UAE supply channels to Russia, while the share of other categories of goods can reach 30%.
Katsaps use payments to China via the UAE because of the lowest commission on the market (1-3%).
Blocking the routes of the Russian commodity and money chain is a way to combat the spread of terrorism in the world.
