AfD Proposes to Leave the EU and Lift Sanctions Against Russia

The far-right “Alternative for Germany” in its draft election program proposes the country’s exit from the European Union, the Paris Climate Agreement, and the euro currency.

The party conference on January 11-12 will approve the “AfD” political program. The program accuses the European Union of persistently transforming into a “superstate with a planned economy” in recent years, and therefore Germany should leave the European Union and create a new European community.

The party’s program also calls for tightening abortion laws, ending economic sanctions against Russia, and recommissioning the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

Moreover, “Alternative for Germany” calls to “end the false path of constant financial aid by reintroducing a national currency” and to exit the Paris Climate Agreement.

The German parliament will hold early elections on February 23, 2025.
