Alice Schwarzer (80 y.o.) is a German journalist and prominent feminist. She is founder and publisher of the German feminist journal EMMA. In 2022, she switched from feminism to politics. She starts to criticize President Zelensky and his wife Elena, as well as Ukraine’s request to supply Western weapons.
Mrs. Schwarzer is among of “friend of Putin” in Germany and of course afraid of “escalation”, oppose the supply of weapons to Ukraine and are in favor of negotiating with Putin.
Not only that, but she is a tool in Putin’s hands. With her help, by threatening to ordinary Germans with possible consequences of nuclear war, Putin hopes to achieve his goals in Ukraine by stopping Ukraine’s support from the West.
One of her latest efforts to help Putin’s regime was the joint “Manifesto for Peace” together with Left-wing politician Sahra Wagenknecht that called on Chancellor Olaf Scholz to focus on negotiations instead of supplying weapons to Ukraine.
In a joint “Manifesto for Peace” two women warned against “sliding into world and nuclear war”. If Ukrainian troops attack occupied Crimea, Russian President Vladimir Putin will launch what she calls “maximum counterattack.”
Previously, Alisa Schwarzer had already addressed the chancellor with an open letter in 2022. Now, together with the left-wing politician Wagenknecht, she again demands “peaceful solutions”.
In response to this, representatives of the intelligentsia spoke in favor of continuing the supply of weapons to Ukraine. “In the hands of the attacked, even tanks and howitzers are defensive weapons, as they serve for self-defense,” says the letter, which was signed, in particular, by former “Green” politician Ralph Fuchs, writer Daniel Kehlmann, and publisher Mathias Dopfner. The letter went on to say that everyone who wants to achieve peace through negotiations, which is not reduced to the enslavement of Ukraine, should strengthen their defense capabilities. It was in Germany’s interest to prevent a successful attack from Russia.
The German publication Bild took the statement of local politicians and public figures who play into the hands of Russian propaganda (among them Mrs. Schwarzer), and asked the adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak react to them:
“There will be no globalization of the war if we get the weapons we need in time (…) This will limit the war to the occupied territories and Russia will not have the strength to expand it (…). Ukraine will fight to the end. It’s about our freedom, it’s about our sovereignty. Russia won’t stop if it doesn’t lose. Russia will continue to invest in chaos and criminalization in Europe. It will invest in terrorist organizations and in political intervention. That is obvious, that is why it is necessary to bring Russia back into the framework of international law.”
