At the beginning of the full scale Russian invasion of Ukraine served as Chief of Staff of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division, military unit 54046 — 3rd Motorized Rifle Division, 20th Combined Arms Army, Western MD, Russian Armed Forces.
The 45 years old war criminal, born in Omsk, Russian Federation, directly participated in the planning and organization of the full scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
Personnel under the command of Eduard Shvab were involved in war crimes, including the killing of civilians, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and violent sexual crimes.
Under the command of Major General Shvab, among other suspects, Mammi Mammiev, junior sergeant, squad leader of the command and combat vehicle of the 752nd motorized rifle regiment of the 3rd motorized rifle division. Apparently, it was for Eduard Shvab’s active participation in war crimes that Putin promoted Shvab to the rank of general on 8 November 2023.
