April 26: Digest from eastern Ukraine

  • On 26 April, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. 3 Russian missiles have hit the infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia, 2 hitting a commercial enterprise; 1 person is reported to be killed and one was injured.
  • Russia may attack Zaporizhzhia from the south, the Armed Forces are preparing, says the British intelligence. Apparently, the Russian forces are trying to surround well-fortified Ukrainian positions in eastern Ukraine
  • On 26 April, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. As morning of April 26, 2 Russian cruise missiles flew over Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and towards the city of Zaporizhzhia at low altitude. Russia’s cruise missiles flying over ZNPP pose a threat to  nuclear security of Ukraine and the whole world.
  • The Russians send Ukrainian women to “spy”, threatening to shoot their children
  • 2 people were killed and 6 others injured in shelling by the Russian invaders in the Donetsk Region on Tuesday.
  • Russia shelled the Azovstal steel plant 35 times during the past day
  • Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed 5 attacks in the east and killed about a hundred aggressors and destroyed their military equipment
  • 3 people were killed and 7 were injured by Russian shelling in Kharkiv on Tuesday, 26 April. Five more people were injured in the Kharkiv Region.
