Biden to announce $225 million in military aid to Ukraine at a meeting with Zelenskyi

According to the Associated Press, which is referring to its informed sources, the US President Joe Biden will announce $225 million in military aid to Ukraine at a meeting with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

US President Joe Biden will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Paris on Friday, 7 June 2024.

According to the aforementioned sources, the new weapons, among others, will include ammunition for HIMARS missile systems, artillery shells and mortar systems.

In addition, the agency’s interlocutors say, the package will include air defense missiles, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, 155 mm howitzers, armored vehicles, trailers, patrol boats, construction materials and a wide range of other spare parts and equipment.

Earlier, after granting a limited permission to Ukraine to use American weapons for strikes on Russian territory, Biden expressed opposition to potential strikes by US weapons deep into Russian territory.
