EU on Russia’s latest nuclear threats: Putin has shown his true face

At a press briefing, a reporter asked EU spokesperson Peter Stano what the EU’s response would be to Russia’s new nuclear threats. Stano stated that Putin’s threats are yet another example of Russia’s irresponsible behavior and will not affect the EU’s decision to continue to support Ukraine.

Stano emphasized that this is merely a continuation of very irresponsible and unacceptable behavior on Putin’s part, which shows the whole world his true face, especially during the high-level week of the UN General Assembly.

“The position of the European Union remains unchanged,” emphasized Stano.

He also noted that the EU is trying to convey this position to international partners, drawing their attention to how crazy and irresponsible Putin’s behavior is, as he represents a permanent member of the UN Security Council, whose main task and duty is to maintain peace in the world.

Support for Ukraine is extremely important; the free world needs to focus its efforts on comprehensive assistance for Ukraine, regardless of the aggressor’s latest bluff.
