Francois Mitterrand’s grandson faces backlash for supporting Russian aggression in Ukraine

Jerome Lambert is a member of the Socialist Party and the grandson of Francois Mitterrand, the former president of France. In 2021, as an “international observer”, he participated in the so-called elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the territory of the annexed Crimea.

These actions violate international law and are an example of direct support of the Russian Federation in its terrorist actions on the territory of Ukraine.

The actions of individuals such as Jerome Lambert, who support the Russian Federation, oppose any aid to Ukraine, and participate in illegal elections in the occupied territories, must be condemned by the French government and subject to appropriate sanctions.

Jerome Lambert is also known for his public speeches in support of the Russian Federation, trying to justify the aggression of the Russian Federation and its terrorist actions in Ukraine. By his actions, he prevents the killing of civilians, the rape of children and women by the Russian military, as well as the illegal deportation of children to the territory of Russia.

Such a position of the deputy is really dangerous, as it contributes to the spread of misinformation and the manipulation of public sentiment. Instead of supporting Russian aggression, he should adhere to the principles of international law and uphold the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as condemn any violence against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
