Kremlin intensifies nuclear blackmail and provocations at Zaporizhzhya NPP.

Russia is already using nuclear threats every month and backs them up with a large-scale provocation every time. This time, Russia decided to use the factor of nuclear power plants against the backdrop of the shock of the Armed Forces’ military activity in the border region of Kursk.

Russians have already begun speculating that if the reactors of the Kursk NPP are decommissioned, a long-lasting energy crisis will start in the south of Russia. The occupiers understand this, because this is exactly what they did 2 years ago at the Ukrainian Zaporizhzhya NPP.

But the invaders do not stop there. Russian special services are organizing new provocations, in particular, they are trying to demonize the Ukrainian army, accusing it of UAV strikes on the ZNPP. However, the Russians do not provide any evidence of Ukraine’s involvement in the fire at ZNPP. Only Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova has already thrown a tantrum and accused Kyiv of “nuclear terrorizing the continent.”

However, Ukrainian official Yevhen Yevtushenko, head of the Nikopol Regional State Administration, has already stated that the ZNPP is operating normally. The Russians probably set fire to large quantities of car tires in the cooling tower to create a large-scale and depressing picture. “At the moment, ZNPP is operating as normal as possible under the occupation,” he added. This was later confirmed by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

President Zelensky also emphasized: “We are recording from Nikopol that the Russian occupiers have set a fire on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Currently, radiation indicators are normal. But as long as Russian terrorists retain control of the nuclear power plant, the situation is not and cannot be normal. Since the first day of the seizure of Zaporizhzhya NPP, Russia has been using it solely to blackmail Ukraine, the whole of Europe, and the world. “

We are waiting for the world’s reaction, waiting for the IAEA’s response. Russia must be held accountable for this. Only Ukrainian control over the Zaporizhzhia plant can guarantee a return to normalcy and full security.

As a reminder, the previous intimidation by the Russian Federation occurred on June 5.
Speaking while attending the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, president Putin observed “For some reason, the West believes that Russia will never use nuclear weapons.” “We have a nuclear doctrine. Look what it says. If someone’s actions threaten our sovereignty and territorial integrity, we consider it possible for us to use all means at our disposal.” Putin noted.

Such terrorist behavior of nuclear blackmail by the Russian Federation clearly requires a tough response from civilized countries. New economic sanctions and restrictions on technology should be the most effective, as they will simply make it impossible for the Russian occupiers to threaten the whole world with nuclear weapons physically.
