May 2: Digest from eastern Ukraine

  • The Russian army is trying to create favorable conditions for an offensive against the Sloviansk and Sievierodonetsk area. It allows it to take full control of Rubizhne and improve positions in Popasna where a battalion tactical group has been moved from the Mariupol. Also it strengthen air defense of occupied territories of the Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions
  • Special forces adjust artillery to a reconnaissance report resulting in Russian equipment losses
  • Russian troops shelled civilian buildings in Zaporizhzhia Region, 2 civilians were killed.
  • Russians have destroyed a famous high school in Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine which survived two world wars
  • Mariupol: Russians bringing “humanitarian” aid, then taking out corpses in the same trucks
