On 28 November, Minister of Defence of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans announced the transfer of three Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine.
The Minister noted that Ukrainians are facing a difficult winter as Russia’s devastating air strikes continue.
“That is why we have handed over three Patriot launchers. They save lives and protect vital infrastructure. It was and remains in our common interest to stop Russian aggression,” Brekelmans said. It was on this day that a massive missile attack on Ukraine took place, so this system is very important for the protection of Ukrainians.
