Azerbaijan has confirmed for the first time that the AZAL plane crash was caused by a weapon. Azerbaijani Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev said that eyewitness accounts and holes in the fuselage of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Kazakhstan indicate external interference, and the type of weapon used to attack the plane will be determined by the investigation. Members of the investigation commission from the state of Azerbaijan have been sent to the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan to familiarize themselves with the details of the crash on the ground and the condition of the victims.
The surviving passengers and flight attendants said they heard the explosion while flying over Grozny. One of the flight attendants was injured in the arm. Also, according to footage from social networks and the media, one woman suffered injuries to her arm and leg. Holes were found in the wing of the plane, and damage to the fuselage and shrapnel marks were found inside the aircraft. The victims also reported hearing three explosions over Grozny. According to them, the sounds of the explosions came from outside, after which something hit the plane.
Amid the tragedy of the downing of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane in Grozny by Russian air defense, the Russians released a festive video in which Santa Claus becomes a “victim” of Russian missile.
A festive New Year’s video was posted on pro-Kremlin Telegram channels in which a Russian Santa Claus leads a military operation to “destroy” Santa Claus. In the video, Santa flies on a sleigh filled with “gifts for Russians” over New Year’s Eve Moscow, holding a can of Coca-Cola.
“Happy New Year!” says Santa in English before being hit by a Russian missile launched by a Russian military officer under the direction of Santa Claus.
“That’s it, the target is destroyed,” an air defense operator reports to Santa Claus.
“We don’t want anything foreign in our skies,” Santa Claus replies.
