“Russia may try to disrupt the Olympic Games in Paris” claims Emmanuel Macron, President of France. “We have no doubt about it, there could be attacks”.
He made this conclusion was made following the first in a year-and-a-half phone call between the Minister of the Armed Forces of France Sébastien Lecornu and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The conversation was initiated by the French side, and Lecornu mentioned that he considers “ridiculous” any suggestions that Paris and Kyiv were involved in the attack at the Crocus City Hall. As a result, president Macron characterized this conversation as “The comments of the Russian side were strange and threatening.”
