As Catholics around the world celebrate one of the most important religious holidays, Easter, Russia continues its missile terror against Ukraine. Tonight another 14 Russian cruise missiles were launched, 9 of them were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. Unfortunately, there are victims among civilians.
At the same time, the Russian church directly encourages and fully supports this aggression.
For example, a letter of instruction from Metropolitan Voskresensky, the chief of staff of the Moscow Patriarchate, was recently published online. In this letter, he demands that his subordinate priests recite the prayer “For Holy Rus”. This seemingly innocuous title hides a wish for military victory for Russian soldiers. It is so contrary to the ideals of the true faith that even the Russian priest Alexei Uminsky refused to read it, for which he was immediately punished by being suspended from ministry.
