Russian invaders committed another horrific crime during the war in Ukraine.
Russian war criminals shot an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner of war after he said “Glory to Ukraine”. A video of the incident hit various social media outlets.
It is currently unknown exactly where and when the video was made.
Public reaction
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reacted to the murder of an unarmed Ukrainian soldier by Russians for saying “Glory to Ukraine”. In an evening video address, the head of state assured that the killers would be found.
“In Ukraine, there will always be the sound of ‘Glory to Ukraine’. And millions will always respond: ‘Glory to the heroes. Always. That is how it will be. Ukraine will not forget the feat of every person whose life has forever given a will for Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
He stressed that today a video emerged of the occupiers brutally murdering a warrior who bravely said to their eyes, “Glory to Ukraine”.
“I want us all together, in unity, to respond to his words: ‘Glory to the Hero! Glory to the heroes! Glory to Ukraine!” And we will find the killers,” Zelensky said
