Russian War Crimes in Ukraine: Update as of morning 30 May

For three months and six days in a row, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people have been resisting new and new attacks by the Russian occupiers in various directions. Ukraine appreciates all the assistance provided by international partners. The Russian occupiers are using methods that violate the rules of war. They attack civilian infrastructure, killing and injuring civilians, including children, and make actions that can have regional and international consequences. We have prepared an update of such actions of the occupiers as of May 30.

Donetsk Region

According to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, on May 29 the Russian invaders killed 3 and injured 4 civilians while shelling Avdiivka, Soledar, and Vidrodzhennia.

Luhansk Region

The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai reported, that on May 29 the Russian troops killed 2 and injured 7 civilians in Severodonetsk and Syrotyne with artillery fire. Also, the Russian occupiers during their attacks damaged or destroyed 49 residential buildings in Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Vrubivka, Zolote, Nyrkove, Mykolaivka, and Viktorivka.

Kharkiv Region

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov, on May 29 the Russian invaders fired at the civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Merefa, Tsyrkuny, Shestakove, and several settlements of Derhachi and Chuhuiv Communities. At least 3 people were injured due to those attacks.

Dnipro Region

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko reported, that in the night of May 29-30 the Russian occupiers shelled several settlements of Apostolivska and Zelenodolska Communities. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Zaporizhzhia Region

According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on May 29 the Russian troops fired with artillery at the residential quarters of Huliaipole. More than 50 civilian buildings were destroyed or damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Kherson Region

The Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine in Kherson Region reported, that on May 29 the Russian invaders shelled the village of Myroliubivka. As a result of the attack, 2 civilians were killed (including a 9-years-old girl) and several people were injured (including 7-months-old and 5-years-old children).

Mykolaiv Region

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Hanna Zamazeeva reported, that on May 29 the Russian invaders shelled the residential quarters of Mykolaiv, Novyi Buh, Bereznehuvate, Shyroke and Inhulka Communities. At least 20 people were injured due to those attacks.
