Syrian ministries discussed sanctions and pressure on Russia with European delegations.

The new Syrian ministries held an important meeting with European delegations, during which they discussed the possible lifting of sanctions and further pressure on Russia.
The Minister of Finance of the SAR Muhammed Abazid discussed with the delegation of the European Union led by the acting head of the delegation Mikhail Ounmacht and the European diplomat Ellen Lou Gal the ways of developing relations between Syria and the EU, as well as the need to cancel the sanctions imposed against Syria under the previous regime.

Minister Abazid explained that the complete lifting of sanctions against Syria will open up opportunities for attracting new investments both from the EU and from other countries of the world. This will have a positive impact on the Syrian economy and will significantly improve the standard of living of the Syrian people.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Asaad Al-Sheibani met with a delegation from the European Union led by Ms. Hélène Le Gall, Director of the European Union for the Middle East and North Africa. The meeting discussed the latest developments regarding the lifting of sanctions and the support provided in the position chosen by Syria for negotiations with the Russian delegation.

The support of the EU countries is currently extremely important for Syria, as it will allow the lifting of sanctions from the country and full support in the dialogue with Russia, namely to demand compensation, reconstruction, and restoration of the destruction caused by the Russian army.
