Ukraine has asked Spotify to remove Russian music by artists who support aggression against Ukraine

Ukraine has asked music streaming service Spotify with a request to remove from its catalogs Russian artists who support the war in Ukraine and Putin’s regime.

This was announced by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak in an interview with The Sunday Times. Thus, the head of the President’s Office asked the streaming service to join the anti-Russian sanctions and support Ukraine (in particular, Ukrainian performers and Ukrainian consumers of music content) in the face of a full-scale Russian invasion.

The head of President’s Office also asked oil companies BP and Shell to stop cooperation with Russia and to make a profit from Russian crude oil.
