The detained woman’s husband, Igor Rogov, was a coordinator of the organization “Open Russia,” founded by Mikhail Khodorkovsky to support democracy and human rights in Russia. Rogov was arrested in July 2024 in Poland on charges of sabotage activities that posed a threat to many lives.
Although “Open Russia” officially ceased its operations in 2021 due to Kremlin repression, its former members continue to draw significant attention. Polish law enforcement authorities are considering the possibility that Rogov’s activities within the organization might have served as a cover for cooperation with Russian intelligence services.
