  • Zelenskyy: Battle for Donbas has begun
  • Mariupol: Civilians without water or food seek shelter at Azovstal
  • Russians fire on the Dnipropetrovsk Region, killing one person
  • Russian troops shelled the town of Zolote in the Luhansk Region, killing at least 2 and wounding 4 people.
  • The Russian army has launched a missile strike on the Dnipropetrovsk Region. Some missiles have been shot down by the Ukrainian air defense systems, but one of the missiles hit an infrastructure facility – two people were injured.
  • The Russian occupation forces have shelled the patrol police building in Lysychansk; 6 police workers were hospitalised with injuries.
  • The Lviv Regional Military Administration says that at least 6 people have been killed in Russian missile strikes on Lviv.
  • In the Luhansk Region, Russian troops destroyed 10 residential buildings and an Olympic sports facility. Most of the damage was inflicted on Kreminna, which was captured by Russian troops today, 18 April. At least 4 civilians were killed in the captured town.
  • Russian occupying troops have abducted 155 civilians in the Zaporizhzhia Region.
