April 27: Digest from eastern Ukraine

  • On April 27, Russian troops shelled the city of Zelenodolsk and the villages of Maryanske and Velyka Kostromka (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), injuring one person.
  • In just one day, the village of Velyka Kostromka was shelled three times with cluster shells
  • For the second time, the Russian army fired missiles at a road-and-railway bridge across the Dniester River estuary in Zatoka, Odessa Region.
  • In Kherson, the Russians dispersed a pro-Ukrainian rally against the occupation and holding a “referendum.” At least four people were injured.
  • Russian troops shelled Avdiivka, Luhansk Region, with phosphorous shells, and also launched an air strike on the city in the morning. At least one person was injured. Several fires broke out in the city as a result of the shelling.
  • On April 27, Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian missile in the Dnipropetrovsk Region. No one was injured.
  • In the directions of Donetsk and Luhansk, the Ukrainian army repulsed 6 Russian attacks, destroyed 5 tanks, 21 units of armored vehicles and other equipment of the occupiers.
