French President Emmanuel Macron reacted positively to the news about the U.S. decision to allow Ukraine to strike the Russian Federation with long-range ATACMS missiles, Politico reported.
Macron believes that U.S. President Joe Biden made a “good decision” in response to Russia’s decision to escalate the war against Ukraine by involving North Korean troops.
Russia’s military regularly employs foreign-made weapons, such as Iranian Shahed drones, to strike Ukraine.
“Russia is the only power that made an escalatory decision … it’s really this break that led to the U.S. decision,” the French president told journalists on the margins of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro.
Clearly, the Kremlin responded to Biden’s statement with yet another threat to use nuclear weapons. However, the West should not heed the empty nuclear threats of war criminals, and it should provide Ukraine with everything necessary for victory.
