NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte warned the elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, about the “terrible threat” from China, Iran, and North Korea if Ukraine is pushed into signing a peace agreement on terms favorable to the Russian Federation, Rutte stated in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to him, the deepening of ties between US adversaries poses a threat to America.
The NATO Secretary General also alerted Trump to the dangers of Russia providing North Korea with missile technology and Iran with financial support for Hezbollah and Hamas.
Moreover, Rutte noted that Beijing might resort to using force against Taiwan if a good deal for Ukraine is not reached.
The NATO Secretary General also noted the need for military reinforcements in Ukraine before potential peace negotiations.
Currently, it’s crucial to make sure Zelensky can initiate peace negotiations from a strong position. “That for me is now priority number one,” added Rutte.
