Terror tactics: The Russians are killing civilians to force Ukraine surrender

Fear is one of the strongest emotions. It arises from realizing that oneself and one’s loved ones are not safe. Russia knows this and that’s why its army terrorizes Ukrainian civilians.

At 10:40 a.m. on July 14, the Russians launched a rocket attack on the downtown of Vinnytsia. They killed 23 people (confirmed), including three children. Dozens more are currently considered missing, as the process of searching for remains and identifying bodies continues.

The airstrike targeted The Officers’ Club and the square in front of it. However, don’t be misled by the name of the premises because it is just a concert hall. Such concert halls were built in many cities during the Soviet times and were home to military bands etc. Since the Soviet collapse they were managed by the Ministry of Defense and municipalities.

On the day of the attack, 24-year-old pop singer Roxolana was preparing for her concert. It had nothing to do with the military.

Russia announced first that it attacked the military base in Haysyn, a town 95 km away from Vinnytsia. Then Russia changed their story of military success: they disrupted a “Nazi meeting.”

At the same time, the Russian war criminal Anatoly Dremov, who has become a face of Russian volunteers fighting against Ukraine, blogged about Russia’s approach to this war of aggression. According to him, Russia should bomb maternity homes, schools, and residential buildings in order to force Ukrainians to take to the streets and demand surrender from President Zelenskyy. This is the very tactics of terror against civilians, which Dremov supports.

The attack on Vinnytsia is not the first deliberate missile attack by the Russians on a civilian facility. Among the bloodiest attacks are the following ones that took place recently:

At 9:17 p.m. on July 9, a Russian rocket destroyed a house in the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk Region. 48 people died as a result, including one child.

At 12:20 a.m on July 1, the Russians struck a residential high-rise building and recreation centers in the village of Serhiyivka in Odesa Region. 22 people died, as a result of the rocket attack, including one child.

At 3:50 p.m. on June 27, the Russians destroyed the Amstor shopping center in the town of Kremenchuk with a rocket attack. 22 people died as a result.

In the past 30 days, the Russians killed more than a hundred people in their homes and while walking in towns where there are no hostilities targeting places where there were no military facilities nearby.

We deliberately indicated the time of the airstrikes so that our readers notice the trend: rockets are targeting residential building at nighttime when people are at home, while they hit public places during the day.

The absolutely outrageous war crime took place on April 8 when people who waited for an evacuation train from the hostilities were attacked by Russian rockets in Kramatorsk train station in Donetsk Region. 59 people died, including 7 children. The Russians knew well about the evacuation.

This terror is aimed at instilling fear in Ukrainians so that the politicians demand to end the war at any cost, i.e. to capitulate.

The Russians are trying to create fear among the civilian population in order to put pressure on the political leadership. So far it has been working the other way around, making Ukrainians ready to fight and uniting people against the Russian invaders.

There is only one way to stop the Russian terror.it is to deprive Russia of the opportunity to carry out airstrikes. Getting modern air defense and pushing the Russians to the borders will solve the problem and end the war.
