The EU Will Strike Hard: Major Sanctions Target Iran

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has emphasized that if Iran realizes its intention to supply Russia with ballistic missiles to escalate the war in Ukraine, the EU will impose additional sanctions against the country.

She said this during a speech in Strasbourg before the European Parliament plenary session dedicated to preparations for the next EU summit on March 21-22.

Iran is also destabilizing the entire Middle East region, and the situation on Israel’s border with Lebanon remains explosive.

Iran, the patron saint of Hamas, continues to stir up regional tensions, for example, by supporting Houthi terrorists in Yemen. They also continue to fuel Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Iran often spreads false information on the international stage in an attempt to earn as much money as possible to support its position in the Middle East: funding Hamas, maintaining its influence, and secretly trading with Russia and North Korea.
