US explained what $625 million military aid for Ukraine includes

The $625 million in U.S. military aid for Ukraine announced on 4th of October has been explained by the U.S. Department of Defense.

The package contains 16 155mm howitzers and 75,000 artillery shells in addition to the four Highly Mobile Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and ammunition announced earlier. It also includes 500 high-precision 155mm shells and 1,000 ammo of the same caliber for remote anti-tank mine systems.

16 105mm howitzers, 30,000 120mm mortar rounds, 200 MaxxPro armored vehicles, 200,000 rounds of small arms ammunition, equipment for the installation of barriers, Claymore anti-personnel ammunition, and field equipment are all included in the new US military aid package for Ukraine.

According to reports, US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy and announced that Ukraine would get $625 million in military aid. After Russia announced annexation of four Ukrainian territories, this was the first military assistance provided by Washington.

In addition to discussing support and cooperation, Joe Biden said that Ukrainian military and people inspire the whole world, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

During the conversation, the President of Ukraine thanked Biden for the next package of defense support, in particular for the new HIMARS. Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared this during his evening video address to the nation.

The United States has handed Ukraine more than $16.8 billion in military assistance for its war with Russia.
